JANUARY LETTER FROM MICHELLE

SHOW AND TELL AT THE LAS CRUCES MEETING

SHOW AND TELL AT THE LAS CRUCES MEETING

SHOW AND TELL AT THE LAS CRUCES MEETING

SHOW AND TELL AT THE LAS CRUCES MEETING
Happy New Year!  I hope this year is filled with fresh ideas and motivation that brings you much success in your art quilts. I can’t wait to see all of those pieces.
First, I wanted to remind you of the Beyond Traditions deadline January 10th. Get those entries in! The entry form will be attached and follow for those not able to open attachments.
Our last meeting was on January 3rd in Las Cruces for the opening of A Color Runs through It and It’s All About Color at the Bank of the West. Check out the blog for photos of the meeting and the opening.  Thank you to the ladies in Las Cruces who installed the exhibit and provided all the goodies for the reception. It was beautiful and we are grateful.
Our next pot luck meeting will be at 11:00 am in Albuquerque on March 8th at The Ambassadors for Christ Community Church, 1540 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE, Suite A. Any pieces accepted into Beyond Tradition will be due on March 8th. You will be notified sometime before that if your pieces have been accepted into the show. Please remember to mark all packing materials with your name so that they can be returned to you. Also remember that you must supply a slat for hanging with your piece. If you have questions about this please ask me and I will supply you with detailed information.  If you have pieces for Beyond Tradition and cannot make it to the meeting please contact me to make other drop off arrangements.
I hope you will consider attending the free workshop and opening of Beyond Tradition in Ruidoso in April. We are planning a dinner on Friday night, April 4, a free dying demo and painting workshop at Vicky Conley’s on Saturday morning, April 5 and the opening reception for Beyond Tradition will be at the Hubbard that afternoon at 2. We are working on getting a special hotel rate and I will give you more information soon.  Mark your calendars! It will be great fun and the only thing you need to bring is some protective clothing for the paint workshop. (More on this to come)
Any questions? Anytime! I’m always happy to answer!
