A Color Runs Throught It will be at Mancuso in Savannah March 26-29, and then Mancuso in Denver April 30-May 2. It's done after that and quilts will be returned at the meeting in May.

Thank you everyone for your entries to Cultural Red- we had a record 94 submissions! The images have been sent to Dr. Cynthia Sanchez for jurying, and you will be notified by email as soon as the results are in. Your work may be accepted for the show at the Rotunda in April '15, AND/OR the Hubbard Museum in April '16. Detailed delivery instructions will be sent for the Rotunda show with your acceptance letter.

Theme:
Imagine or recall commercial seed racks filled with colorful flower and vegetable seed packets. Design and create your own real or imagined plant from your garden; illustrating the plant, or the name or do something abstract. The Exhibition Committee will attach (Velcro) your work to an 18”x24” board, along with the title of your seed packet and your name. All “seed packs” will be uniform as they hang from the wall. See attached examples.
Eligibility
All work must meet the definition of an Art Quilt: “The art quilt is a creative visual work that is layered and stitched or that references this form of stitched layered construction.”
Applicants to be considered for display at the Silver City Fiber Arts Fiesta and The Hubbard Museum of the American West must be current NM SAQA members residing in any state. Only original artwork, conceived and created by the entrant (s) will be considered; no patterns, kits or copies. All artists collaborating on an artwork must be listed as entrants and sign the loan agreement.
Selection
The work will not be juried as long as it fulfills the instructions and is delivered on time. Out of state residents are responsible for shipping and insurance both ways.
Entry Requirements
• Work should relate to the theme, may be representational or abstract
• Dimensions of the quilt must be 16” x 16”
• Three dimensional aspects are permissible
• You may also have parts of the quilt extend into the text
• A maximum of two quilts per artists may be entered
• You need to title your work with the name of the seeds you are illustrating. You will NOT need to make the hanging board, PLEASE DO NOT include text in your design. See attached examples.
• There is NO sleeve. You must SEW 4 pieces of the FUZZY side of Velcro, one onto each corner of the quilt. Each Velcro piece should have the following dimensions: 1” wide x 2” long. Again, sew them on, do not use iron or stick on tape.
• All entries must have a label sewn to the back with the title of your work, artist’s name and email address.

Email ONE full image for each quilt to Betty Busby:

Shipping, Insurance and Sales
Artists will be responsible for the cost of shipping work or delivering to Michelle Jackson, along with return shipping after the shows. Artists must provide insurance on artwork while in transit to Michelle Jackson. Please deliver or ship to Michelle Jackson ON or BEFORE July 1, 2015:
