GREAT INFORMATION FROM OUR JULY MEETING!

The following materials and resources were suggested by SAQA NM members.

Call for banners for the London Olympics: http://www.quilts4london.org.uk/

Evolon is a nonwoven microfiber material made of nylon and polyester. You can paint, dye, print and heat distress Evolon. It will not fray when cut with a scissors and can also be cut using a soldering iron. It excels as a base for stitch, by hand or machine and works well layered with sheer elements (like Lutradur) above it. This is Evolon Soft: Lighter, much like a chamois. Ideal for dyeing, stitching, drapey projects. More info: http://www.meinketoy.com/item_680/Evolon-Soft.htm

HollyTex (does not melt), SpunFab (fusible), and Reemay are three more non-woven materials of interest. More information: http://stores.homestead.com/conservemp/StoreFront.bok
