"My current work explores a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Japanese dye technique called arashi-shibori. My hand-dyed, pieced, and quilted silk wall pieces are inspired by the interplay of light and shadow as fog descends and dissipates along the Pacific coast. I liken my pieces to the evocative Japanese haiku and often utilize an abstract interpretation of the kimono form." Reception is the eventing of Friday, October 14.
