The New Mexico Art Quilters will have an exhibition titled, Uncommon Threads II at the First Unitarian Church, 3701 Carlisle NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.

The artists will be available before the first service, from 9-9:30, between services, from 10:30-11, and after the last service, from 12-12:30.
A local group of passionate fiber artists who are members of Studio Art Quilt Associates, an international organization with over 2500 members, have been organizing exhibitions throughout New Mexico since 2003.  Contemporary art quilts are part of a revolutionary movement that has transcended the once strict barriers between the craft of quilting and fine art, filling a niche somewhere between sculpture and painting. These artists combine their exceptional skills in working with fabrics, threads, and their artistic insights to craft stunning tactile creations that inspire, elevate, and encourage reflection.
