There will be no workshops in Silver City.  Many were concerned that they would miss the  information because they couldn't attend the workshops in Silver City.  They may be held in conjunction with a future meeting.

EXHIBIT by DYE FUSION

FROM PRESS TO FABRIC
An exhibit by DyeFusion

DyeFusion is a group of seven women who enjoy playing with dyes and paints and creating one of a kind altered fabrics.  Their challenge for this display was to make prints on fabric.  Each of these quilts began as a monoprint created using a large etching press.  Since prints are usually created on paper, they experimented to find techniques for printing on this new surface.  They used oil printing inks with a large sheet of plexiglass, to create the original plate from which they printed.  They also created smaller companion prints on paper.

The exhibit will hang at the Esther Bone Library during July and August.
